This photo challenge was fun for me. It marks the first time that I didn’t use a single photo from my inventory and instead went out, camera at the ready, and looked for a subject that, I hope, fit the challenge correctly. As it turns out, what I used was very close to home. The subject matter is Susan’s little shade garden just outside the back door. The details, well, that’s for you to see. The little shade garden in winter.
The heart within the ivy heart.

What a pretty garden, it looks like it is thriving. My favorite is the cherub picture.
Thanks, Deb. The cherub is my favorite too. Hard to think he’s only about an 1 1/2″ tall. It was beautiful day here on the island. One of the nicest so far this year. Was thinking about going out for a paddle but just couldn’t manage it.
One of these days you will post about paddling in the morning and golfing in the afternoon just to make the Albertans feel badly about their climate. By the way, we had a huge dump of snow over night…not a nice day for us.
Thanks for visiting my blog. what a nice garden and decors you have.
Thank you, mabel8ble. It’s always nice seeing what others have come up with.
Personally, I’m for the troll
Nice work!
Than you, Tina! He’s a very benevolent troll.

Garden sculptures have the best details //// well done
Thank you, Inside the Mind of Isadora. These little sculptures were like a miniature world hidden inside the garden. You could imagine them all coming to life at night. Make a good children’s story.
I envy you this garden.. I love ivy and statues, make the place feel special and alive.. Wonderful shots Gregory!!
Thanks for that, Lynne. We are lucky to live where we do, surrounded by nature and greenery. This particular garden is my favorite. It is very alive all the time, even in the dead of winter or the driest parts of the summer. A very pleasing little corner.

Thank you, evilnynphstuff (great blog name!). It was like finding a secret world right in our own back yard.

What a magical collection…my personal favourite is the ivy heart
I love all these items in your garden – ours has some of the same quirkiness and it’s lovely to see yours.
