This should have been an easy one, but my stock doesn’t seem to include a lot of “home” pictures. In any case, here’s my take on the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Home.

An old home that’s dear to my heart.
I really like these shots but “an old home” is my favorite.. whose home? yours?
Hi Lynne. The old house in the picture belonged to some dear old friends of ours (both have now passed away). It became such an important and happy place for us. Some old houses just seem to grow sad as they grow old. This particular house grew more warm and inviting with every year. I miss it and the people who owned it.

swallows’ home: so sweet!
Thank you, frizztext. That particular swallows’ nest was on the shore side of a fog signal building on Stuart Island in the US San Juan Islands. I don’t think the fog signal is still generated in that building (it’s been replaced by some kind of electronic signal), which is a good thing as we do get fog in the summer and it would likely rattle the little ones right out of their nest!

The bird’s nest and the tent are my favorites. Tiny little private spaces can be so home-y.
